Celebrate Science Week at your local Picturehouse this March with exclusive previews of RADIOACTIVE, the new biographical drama about the life and work of Marie Curie, for just £4 a student.
A number of the screenings are also accompanied by a live talk in the cinema from a scientist working in a relevant field.
This film is not released in cinemas until 20th March, so these screenings provide your students with an opportunity to see it before anyone else!
Marie Skłodowska-Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person to win the award in two different fields – Physics and Chemistry. Her work broke down many barriers in science and played a leading role in redefining women's role in society and science. She has been a role model for generations of scientists and a large amount of modern research is directly based on her activities.

Radioactive is the incredible, true story of Marie Curie (Rosamund Pike) and her ground-breaking scientific achievements. In Paris, 1893, Marie meets fellow scientist Pierre Curie (Sam Riley). The pair go on to marry, raise two daughters and change the face of science forever by jointly winning the Nobel Prize for the discovery of radium in 1903. Marie Curie was the first female scientist to win the esteemed prize.

If you cannot attend these Preview screenings, you can book to see the film on a weekday morning between 9th - 13th March at your local Picturehouse, subject to availability, for £4.00 per student (minimum 20 students).
For screenings later in the academic year, we can also offer screenings for £4.00 per student (min 25 students) or a flat £100 for smaller groups AFTER GENERAL RELEASE ON 20th MARCH. Free for staff (1:10 ratio).
