Having quit a job in Germany, Matthias (Marin Grigore) returns to his Transylvanian home, a remote, rural town where customs and traditions bind the community together.Matthias is preoccupied with his elderly father, and keen to be more involved in the life and education of his son, who's wrought with mysterious anxieties. He's also eager to see his ex-lover, Csilla (Judith State), who manages the local factory. But when Csilla hires some new immigrant workers, historic resentments start to bubble to the surface. These underlying frustrations and fears soon grip the populace, erupting through the veneer of understanding and calm. With divisions forming and tensions running high, it falls to a few residents to try and prevent the community from breaking apart completely.
