The Box Office opens at least 15 minutes before the start of the first film each day.
Sure, you can do this at the Box Office. We can’t guarantee your favourite spot, but we can show you which seats (if any) are available.
We try to let customers into the screen ten minutes before a show’s listed start time, but this may vary.
We do try to allow customers to enter the screening up to 20 minutes after the stated start time, however due to different circumstances this may not always be possible.

We reserve the right to refuse admission, or we may ask you to leave the premises without a refund, if you do any of the following:

  • behave in an anti-social or threatening manner, or put the safety of our customers, staff or property at risk
  • bring a camera or recording equipment of any kind into the cinema
  • breach any of our terms of admission
You’re welcome to take small bags and cases into a screen as long as they fit under your seat and don’t block the row or aisle. Unfortunately we can’t look after large items of luggage while you’re watching a film. You can leave prams/strollers in the foyer area of the screen, but this is at your own risk.
Yes you can, but please switch it off before the film starts. (The light is just as distracting as the sound!)
You can take it in with you, as long as it’s switched off and stored away at all times.
Contact us as soon as possible! Speak to a member of staff in the cinema, or, if you’d prefer not to approach us in person, call or email our Customer Care team (020 7326 2649 or customerservice@picturehouses.co.uk).
Feedback is always welcome! Ask to speak to a manager or send an email to customerservice@picturehouses.co.uk.
If you can, let a member of staff know while you’re at the cinema so we can tackle the problem then and there. If it’s something that can’t be resolved until after your visit, send us an email so we have it in writing and can investigate it further. We always aim to respond with a resolution as soon as we can (usually within seven days).

We do not currently accept £50 notes.

We reserve the right to require you to prove your age with appropriate photographic ID if you are going to a 12A, 15 or 18 film or purchasing alcoholic drinks. If you are unable to prove your age you will not be able to watch the film or buy alcoholic drinks. We reserve the right to ask for such proof at any time you are on our premises.  In order to prove your age we require official ID that includes a photo and date of birth such as a passport (or photocopy of a passport) or a driver’s license, we also accept all PASS accredited proof of age cards.  For more information or to apply for a proof of age ID card visit: pass-scheme.org.uk.

If you are not already signed up to an annual recurring subscription, you can renew your Membership online by signing in to your MyPicturehouse account and clicking on the ‘renew’ button. You can renew one month before your current expiry date. At this point you can choose to pay for another year as a one-off or to sign up to an annual recurring subscription.

If you renew early before your expiry date, your free ticket allocation for your next year of membership will be added to your account and you’ll be able to start using them straight away, and the year will be added to your existing expiry date, so you don't lose out on any time.

Please note renewals can only be made online through your MyPicturehouse account. It is not possible to renew memberships in person in our cinemas.

If your Membership has expired and you wish to renew, please log in to your My Picturehouse account and then head to the Membership sign up page where you can purchase your choice of Membership.

In order to use your Member free tickets or claim your other Membership benefits at a Picturehouse cinema, you will need to show your Membership Card to our cinema staff on request. If you have a legacy physical Membership card, you can show this instead.

To redeem your Membership benefits on the website or app, you’ll need to sign in to your MyPicturehouse account. Once you have logged in, the Membership ticket options will be available for you when booking.

If you do not yet have a MyPicturehouse account, you can set one up for free on our website at MyPicturehouse.

If you have forgotten your MyPicturehouse login details, or are having problems logging in, you can request a username reminder or password reset online as well.

They are valid for 2 years and can be used towards the purchase of tickets, food and drink or merchandise.

Audio description is a special service for blind and visually impaired cinemagoers. For selected films, a narration track is played through a special headset and fills the gaps between dialogue by describing what’s happening on screen. The track is undetectable to anyone not wearing a headset and so doesn’t affect their viewing experience.

To see which films have audio description, look for the ‘Audio described’ label next to a film’s time on the website and App; you can also call our dedicated booking line or ask at the Box Office. If you need the induction loop or a headset, please ask a member of staff when you arrive – we can also recommend the best seats to use in the screen.

These are screenings with subtitles. Everyone is welcome, and the audio track still plays as usual.
If you have any access needs, just ask a member of staff – they’ll be happy to help you! To prepare for your visit, you can also read all about accessibility at our cinemas here.
We offer free entry for accompanying carers and accept the CEA card – a national initiative that offers a free ticket to carers/companions accompanying disabled guests to the cinema.

To find out more about the CEA card scheme and register for a card, visit www.ceacard.co.uk, or contact them via telephone: 0124 452 6016, minicom: 0845 123 1292, textphone: 0845 123 1297 or email: info@ceacard.co.uk. The card is personal to you, and may not be used by other people.

If you'd like your carer to come with you but don't have a CEA card, please call our accessibility helpline or visit the Box Office to make your booking and we'll arrange a free carer ticket for you. Signing up for a card isn't required, but we hope it'll make buying tickets easier.

Our Autism-Friendly screenings are adapted in a variety of ways to help reduce anxiety and over-stimulation and ensure a safe, enjoyable cinema experience for people with autism, and their families, friends and carers. We aim to offer a relaxed and welcoming environment where staff are sensitive to the needs of children and families with autism. Tickets are at a reduced rate of £3.30 per person.

Adjustments include:

  • There are no trailers or advertisement, the lights left on low throughout the film and the volume is reduced.
  • There is the freedom to move around, make noise and sit where you like
  • you are welcome to take a break and leave the screen whenever you need to

For information on upcoming Autism-Friendly screenings near you visit our Autism-Friendly page.

Our Dementia-Friendly screenings take place once a month at select Picturehouse Cinemas. Tickets are £4.30 per person, with free tickets for accompanying carers. Free tea, coffee and biscuits are served for half an hour before the film to give people the chance to meet and socialise with others, and to familiarise themselves with the cinema space.

These screenings are open to all but cater especially for people living with dementia. They aim to make cinema more accessible to local dementia communities by providing a fun and inclusive experience to enable people living with dementia, their families and carers to attend the cinema in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our Dementia-Friendly screenings are enhanced to suit the needs of people living with dementia: the lights are left low, there are no adverts or trailers, and the audience is allowed to move around — or sing along to any musical numbers! — should they wish to.

Visit our Dementia-Friendly page to find out what's on and if your local Picturehouse takes part.

Silver Screen is a free-to-join club for the over-60s. Members can enjoy a free tea or coffee and biscuits at the weekly Silver Screen shows. Ticket prices and Silver Screen days vary depending on your local Picturehouse Cinema. Non-members are also welcome - the usual ticket prices apply. For more information or to join ask a member of staff.

Our Dementia-Friendly screenings take place once a month at select Picturehouse Cinemas. Tickets are £4 per person, with free tickets for accompanying carers.

Happy Mondays is our attempt to brighten up the start of the week and help keep the back-to-work blues at bay. That means cheaper tickets all day, every Monday (excluding bank holidays), for everyone!

There’s no need! Your booking confirmation is your ticket, so you can go straight to the screen and show the QR code to our usher. (This can be on an email printout or on your mobile phone.)

If you don’t have access to a printer or a mobile phone, you can still quote your booking reference at the Box Office and we’ll print your ticket for you. Or, if you booked using your Membership, we can print one using your Membership card.

Peak or altered pricing may apply for certain films, Screen Arts, special events and holiday periods. We also offer different price points on different days, such as our cheaper tickets all day every Monday.

Child tickets are available to those under 15 years of age.

Easy! Go to the Box Office – it’s open at least 15 minutes before the start of the first film each day – and let one of our team know what you’d like to see.

Adults pay the child price with our family ticket. It's available for all screenings rated U, PG and 12A and covers four people: either one adult and three kids (under the age of 15), or two adults and two kids. Perfect for bringing the whole brood to the cinema during the school holidays.

Beyond our standard adult price, we offer discounted tickets and membership options for over-60s and students (with valid student ID). Tickets are also cheaper for kids up to the age of 14.

Tickets for big releases like Star Wars or Marvel often go on sale a few weeks before they open in cinemas. Screen Arts shows and live events are also scheduled well in advance. In most cases though, we don’t confirm showtimes for new films until much closer to their release – usually a few days before.
We usually publish listings every Tuesday morning for the subsequent Friday to Thursday. If it’s a Bank Holiday Monday, they’ll be online on the Wednesday morning.

U - Suitable for anyone
PG - Parental Guidance
12A - Suitable for 12 years and over but anybody under 12 can be admitted if someone over 18 is present
15 - Suitable for 15 years and over
18 - Suitable for 18 years and over

For full details, including reasons for each rating, visit bbfc.co.uk.

Children under eight years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Not all of our screenings have allocated seating. Arrive early to grab your favourite seats!
Usually we play 15 to 20 minutes of ads and trailers before a film starts. There’s no pre-show before Screen Arts events though, so we recommend being in your seat for the time on the ticket.
Nope! Because you’re not booking tickets in advance, you don’t pay the fee.
Absolutely! (Members get some great discounts and benefits though, like no booking fees on their own tickets, so why not think about joining us?)
The booking fee of 70p per ticket helps fund the running of our advance ticket booking services, including our website, app and customer service support.

Free list suspended films do not apply to CEA cards holders on their free carer ticket, Member’s free tickets or Meerkat Movies.

You can find more details and an up-to-date list of these films here.

We clean the screens after each film and hand over anything we find to the manager’s office for safekeeping, so there’s a good chance we’ve picked it up already and it's safe with the rest of the lost property.

Most of our cinemas have their own bar and restaurant. For menus and more details, check the cinema information page of your local Picturehouse.

Certain food and drink items can be brought into our cinema screens.
